Big Truck Espresso Blend 12oz.

Our flagship espresso blend. We devote constant attention to Big Truck and think it might be the best organic espresso blend you can find. Coffee is a seasonal fresh produce and different producing countries have varied seasons and harvest periods. We strive to buy smaller lots in their prime to keep the blend as fresh as possible. The ingredients of the blend change based upon seasonality, yet the flavor profile for Big Truck remains the same.

Big Truck is our quest for espresso perfection. We strive for a cup full of sweet chocolate, heavy with dense fruit and possessing a long clean finish.

 

Currently Big Truck consists of two beautiful washed coffees:

El Salvador Santa Adelaida: Formerly a single estate, the land is now home to 250 families who live and work together growing delicious coffee. A true community has developed here: the cooperative maintains three schools, a medical facility and housing for all. Their Bourbon varietal coffee is grown under dense shade trees, prolonging the ripening of the coffee cherries which instills fantastic sweetness and acidity in the beans. Santa Adelaida is a lush, diverse and beautiful place that exemplifies what a Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee farm can be.

Ethiopia Dara Sidamo Shilicho: Shilicho is a washing station (also known as a wet mill) in the Dara region of Sidamo. In Big Truck the Shilicho brings to the cup a deep plummy “purple flavor” with a touch of lemon cream. This beautiful coffee is our first ever washed Ethiopian that has been added to Big Truck Blend.
